It suggests 50% fall in the reading public over a period of 27 years, given that the country's population had doubled from 90 million in 1988 to 180 million in 2015.

Participants will read atleast five chapters of the listed books of his/her choice while the competition quiz will be last tuesdays of every month.
The final winner will win atleast N100,000 or its Dollar equivelent. While the winning price or gift for top 50 scores will be announced two days before the competition.
